What is it like to be asexual?
Well, this was a nice surprise to see featured on the BBC homepage.
Asexuality has been the subject of very few scientific studies which has led to speculation about why some people feel no sexual attraction.

TMI Friday, but oh my god. I’ve been joking about being an “asexual mutant” for years, but all kidding aside it’s honestly been a pretty painful experience for me, and these attitudes have contributed HUGELY to my social anxiety issues. I have been asked every single one of these questions. I’ve had my family “worry” about me and blame it on my parents’ divorce and my mom eventually settling into a long-term relationship with a woman, thus “confusing” me. I have lost half a dozen very close guy friends because they wanted to try and “fix” me. I’ve been told it’s “contrary to human nature”. It feels like my asexuality is the one thing about me nobody can accept and it really kind of hurts like hell.
