Been a fan of the comics for ages, love the movies too. I think the best thing about the MCU movies is that they do such a fantastic job of playing to both audiences.
It’s always fun to watch the post-credits teasers in theaters, too, because almost all of them are aimed squarely at the long-time comic fans. Depending on what showing you’re at, the ratio of “OMFG SQUEE” to “…huh? The heck am I looking at?” is pretty amusing to observe.
… yeah, so that time I slapped a SHIELD emblem on Tron’s Legacy!suit and called it a day.
